NAD (short for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a very specific form of the B3 vitamin. It works as a coenzyme, which helps enzymes of the body function effectively at a cellular level. NAD helps each and every cell in your body to produce ATP or energy. As we get older, NAD decreases in our cells, and thus we experience chronic fatigue, poor concentration, insomnia, poor collagen production, and more.
Chronic stress or disease can lead to depleted levels of NADH, thereby contributing to mitochondrial dysfunction, autoimmune disorders, and more. Restoring optimal levels of NAD+ truly helps your body recover from chronic stress and may even reverse chronic disease at its core.

Weight loss is so very difficult and incredibly personal. I find the best way to live is to cook all (most) of you own meals so that you know exactly what is going into your food. Also exercise daily (walking, dancing, biking, yoga, whatever makes you happy). So when you go out with friends, you can live it up. Life must happen, but you do need self control on most days. Plus, the healthier you eat and the more you exercise, the better you perform, both physically and mentally.
