Facial Aesthetics

In efforts to decrease wrinkles and give the face a younger appearance, neurotoxins, such as Botox, Dysport and Xeomin, can be injected into muscles of the face. These neurotoxins last anywhere from 2-3 months, and are considered a minimally invasive procedure — approved since 2002 for cosmetic use. Fillers (Juvaderm, Restylane, Radiesse) are made from hyaluronic acid and are used to decrease the deeper lines of aging. Fillers are used for facial contouring, to enhance lips, cheek bones, temples and more. Depending on the location applied, and the type of filler used, fillers can last for up to 2 years, and can even stimulate your body’s natural collagen production.

Natural Fillers for Face

Natural fillers, taken from your own fat, can be used as well. This procedure is slightly more invasive, but is all natural and longer lasting than hyaluronic acid fillers. Using your body’s own fat cells as filler additionally provides the benefit of enhancing collagen formation in your face to further decrease signs of aging.

Platelet Rich Plasma, by itself, or in combination with fat cells, used via injection or microneedling helps to naturally boost collagen production and decrease signs of aging.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What types of fillers do you provide?

We offer the entire line of Galderma products including Silk, Kysse, Defyne, Refyne, Restylane, and more. We also offer Belotero and Radiesse.

2. How often should I get Botox?

Botox typically wears off within 3 months. Some clients want botox more frequently and sometimes, in lucky clients, it lasts up to 6 months!

3. Are fillers safe?

Fillers should always be injected by a physician. Fillers generally are safe, but they do carry a couple of large risks. A well trained injector will understand anatomy and know how to mitigate any possible complications that can or do arise.

4. What are “natural” fillers?

Natural fillers are PRP as a filler. This is when the physician takes your blood and uses that to inject back into your face. Hyaluronic acid fillers may be considered “natural” since our bodies do make hyaluronic acid on their own, but these fillers are still considered synthetic.

5. How much Botox do I need?

Your injector would have to determine how much botox you need based on the size of your facial muscles and the location you want injected. This is very different for each person.

6. Can I do PRP and Botox together?

You can do PRP microneedling and PRP facelifts on the same day you do botox.

7. How long do PRP fillers last?

PRP fillers are working to stimulate new collagen and new elastin growth in the skin. So the actual PRP does not stay under your skin for more than a few hours after injection, but the results of the PRP fillers last for months. We recommend having these injections done 3 times per year for optimal and long lasting results.

8. How is PRP used in aesthetics?

PRP contains platelets, which work to stimulate new, younger skin to grow. They do this by calling in local growth factors and stem cells to help bring in new collagen. You will notice tighter skin with less wrinkles over time.

9. What are the benefits of PRP facial?

PRP facial helps decrease the signs of aging by making fine lines and wrinkles disappear. It also helps tighten the skin so that you have a more youthful appearance.

10. How long does PRP take to work?

PRP starts working immediately after it is injected. Most people really start noticing how fresh their face looks about 2 weeks after the procedure.

11. What not to do before PRP?

Do not take anti inflammatory medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, or Aleve for 1 week prior to PRP. Do not drink alcohol the night before your procedure.

12. How long do Botox injections take?

Botox injections are very quick. Most patients are done within about 10 minutes.

13. When will I see results?

It takes, on average, 7 days before you will see results from botox. Some people notice results in just 3 days, and sometimes it takes 10 days before results appear. Higher doses of botox show up more quickly than low doses.
