Trace Mineral IV

This IV is great to help athletes recover from endurance training or races. High concentrations of trace minerals help replenish cells after hard workouts or excessive stress on the body. Trace mineral IVs consist of zinc, selenium, chromium, copper, and manganese. When these minerals are depleted from your body, you may experience muscle cramps, exhaustion, difficulty recovering from stress, and more. This IV is also done after many rounds of chelation, to help balance out any lost nutrients from that IV. You can add a small amount of trace elements to any other IV.

Selenium helps regulate glutathione production, the most potent antioxidant in your body. It also helps your thyroid stay healthy by enabling the thyroid to turn into its active form, T3, and provide the body with energy.

Zinc is extremely important in the immune response. Healthy levels of zinc in your system help fight off colds and other respiratory infections. It helps keeps your gut healthy and fights off cancer. Zinc is also a very important factor in wound healing and recovery. Without zinc, your body cannot produce the collagen it needs for repair, nor can it recover from exercise or workouts. Zinc also plays a role in nerve and skin health. Low zinc levels increase the chance of developing acne or cause poor skin health. Low zinc levels may also cause you to lose your sense of taste and smell.

Copper is a trace element that must be in your body with zinc, as they work together. Too little copper in your system decreases your ability to fight off infection or cellular damage. It also leads to increased pain sensitivity and response when injured. Copper tends to be anti-aging; in that, it helps keep your cells healthy and young.

Manganese is a trace element essential for many processes in your body. It helps with bone formation, reproduction, and immune response. It is essential for carbohydrate, cholesterol, and glucose metabolism. It gets absorbed in the small intestine, so people with gut issues tend to be low in manganese.

Add On Boosts

Vitamin C

Feel like you need more vitamin C? Feel symptoms of a cold or flu coming on? While our Immune Boost IV and Cold buster IVs contain enough vitamin C to really combat any infection you may be fighting off, we can add increments of 5gm of vitamin C to this IV for more of a boost. This vitamin C boost must be added prior to beginning the IV. Vitamin C will help fight off infection, improve wound healing, boost your immune system, improve skin health, speed up recovery post-operatively, and more.

Vitamin B12

Feeling low in energy and like you need a boost? B12 is already in most of our IVs. However, if you feel like you need a greater energy boost than usual, don’t hesitate to let our nurses know that you would like an extra 1mL of B12 today. This B12 boost can be added at any time during the IV.

Glutathione

2mL of this extremely potent antioxidant can be added to any IV. This is a great add-on for people who like to party, for those suffering from chronic disease or chronic pain, for patients on regular medications, and for those wanting to rid themselves of excess toxin buildup. Glutathione helps decrease inflammation in the body, helps break down fat, is anti-aging, improves sleep, improves energy, and detoxifies. It is a powerful molecule packed with a punch! This addon is typically performed as a “push” during the IV or at the end of the IV.

Extra Hydration

For just $35, you can add on an extra bag of fluids. These electrolyte-packed bags of fluid will rehydrate your cells and help you recover from illness, stress, or any other life event you are dealing with.

Zofran

This is a medication that can be added to your IV to help decrease nausea. This is sometimes added to our Migraine relief IV or Hangover Rescue IV when nausea is present. We also add this to our altitude sickness IV, when needed.

Toradol

This is a potent anti-inflammatory medication that can be added to some of the above IVs. This medication immediately decreases pain in the body or gets rid of headaches. The physician will first make sure you have no signs of kidney disease, or no reported personal history of kidney dysfunction prior to administering this medication.
